Omega 3 Essential Fatty Acid Intake Linked to Big Health Benefits

Intakes of Omega-3 Essential Fatty Acids exceeding levels typically consumed by the general US population may significantly reduce the risk of chronic disease, suggests a new study with the Yup’ik Eskimos.

High levels of the Omega 3 Fatty Acids EPA and DHA were associated with lower levels of triglycerides, as well as higher levels of HDL Cholesterol (good Cholesterol), according to data from 357 Yup’ik Eskimos published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.

Raised levels of the fatty acids were also associated with decreased levels of markers of inflammation, such as C-Reactive Protein (CRP), which is produced in the liver and is a known marker for inflammation. Increased levels of CRP are a good predictor for the onset of both Type 2 Diabetes and Cardiovascular Disease. CVD causes almost 50 per cent of deaths in Europe, and is reported to cost the EU economy an estimated 202 Billion Dollars per year.

“Increasing EPA and DHA intakes to amounts well above those consumed by the general US population may have strong beneficial effects on chronic disease risk,” The researchers concluded.

Hosting Home Meetings & How to Overcome Objections

1. “My spouse will kill me!” (Have it at a friend's place, sister, mother, etc)

2. ”I can't afford it.” (Have a potluck function where each person will bring a special appetizer or dessert.)

3. “My house is too small!” (We all know that feeling! But you know, your friends will enjoy themselves, no one ever cares about things like the size of the room, or the state of the house. They just come to have fun, and they never care about those details.)

4. “I can't afford to buy anything” (You can get your products for FREE).

5. “I don’t have enough furniture” (Have a cushion party. Give a prize for the most unique cushion).

6. “No one would come, I live too far away.” (Extend the invitation and give them a chance to decide. They may be looking for something social to participate in. Ask them, you might be pleasantly surprised.)

7. “All my friends work” (Great! They are the ones who have a little cash to spare. Besides, they could invite some of the people they work with.)

8. “I am new to the area.” (Terrific! What a great way to get to know the neighbors. You certainly would know who your friends were after the party.)

9. “My kids are home.” (Bring the kids?? Let them play!)

10. “I am too busy!” (Do a quickie or an office party, 15 minute demo, etc.)
